Excellent village location

An ideal touring base for your country holiday. In the heart of Shebbear, a pretty North Devon village, Tyrella is the perfect base to explore this delightful area.

The comfortable, first floor, self catering apartment is attached to the owner's historic 17th century cottage, just behind the village square which hosts the historic `turning the stone' ceremony every 5th November. Just a few yards away is the charming village inn and restaurant. Nearby is Buckland House in Buckland Filleigh which regularly hosts weddings.

The North Devon and North Cornish coasts are a short drive with stunning beaches and coves ideal for surfing or walking the coastal path. Nearby there are many attractions, being ideal for golf, Tamar Lakes and Roadford Lake offer coarse and trout fishing, sailing, wind surfing and canoeing, and the leafy Tarka Trail leads walkers and cyclists through superb scenery. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Bodmin Moor and the award winning Eden Project are all easily accessible.

An excellent, well stocked shop 50 yards, pub and restaurant for breakfasts, snacks and main meals 30 yards. Church & Devil's Stone 60 yards. Shebbear College 1/2 mile.

The owners have created a healthier environment than the normal holiday accommodation, by extensively using natural paints and varnishes. These do not off-gas potentially harmful chemicals into the rooms like many ordinary paints. Click on the individual rooms details on the right for more information.

Prices from £174 to £553 for 7 nights and from £100 to £387 for 2-3 nights. Prices are for the property not per person.
